RECESSION??
I was dutifully scanning my way through the news this week – as every week – and started to sense a pattern of good news.
It made me feel distinctly uncomfortable……like…..this is New Zealand right?
We’re in a Recession, right?
But Mainfreight, Fisher & Paykel, Trade Depot, Turners Car Auctions, Fonterra, Gallagher, Crimson have all been reported making serious headway through the Trump-induced ether the rest of us are fogged in by….. and then it got better.
Record prices for red meat, milkfat, wool (finally) at a 15 year high, Kiwifruit going gangbusters, Halter taking on the world, RocketLab taking on space, Tourism past preCovid levels and maybe a Heartland/TSB merger.
I was thinking John Key’s Rockstar economy, pinched myself and stayed pinched.
We’re not used to such financial largesse but this is real and it is not green shoots, it is lush growth backed by sensible government efforts finally coming good.
And Auckland is strewn with absolute property bargains and the good news will keep coming. Just watch the Luxon – Willis machine start churning out the real story as we head to the Elections.
It’s all going to be good.
I believe we’re through the recession despite what Trump and the Mullas do over their “trial” 60 days and I can sense it now with clients day to day.
Long term clients are getting to me before I get to them and the rational is one of quiet positivity.
I have had a qualified investor family/couple/individual through brilliant investment Brick & Tiles daily for the last fortnight and they’re committing daylight robbery out there.
And yes, so should you. We haven’t seen the future like this for a while.
I’m seeing that there is an undercurrent of well structured success bubbling away all around us and it’s time to step up and pick your bargain.
Latest stats on longevity are mid 80s and we don’t want you driving taxis like your mates.
